About the mentors:
Each mentor is chosen very carefully to ensure that they can pass on the skills they are sharing in the best form possible. They must have an intimate knowledge of not only the physical side of the skills, but also the spiritual and mental ramifications that accompany the skill. They must pass a background check, an in depth interview and have several recommendations from people they have taught the skill to in the past. To become a mentor is an honor not to be taken lightly, but above all they must be able to communicate the skill to the students.

About the elders:
Elders are not olders. They are not chosen by their age, but by their wisdom. They are people who are capable of sitting and listening; those who can seek the purity of a situation or a fact before passing it on to others or suggesting direction. These people have lived their lives and learned the most important lesson there is: Love your neighbor as yourself. To become an elder a person must first become a mentor. Through the continued contact with L.I.N.E. and the students and staff they will be monitored and tested and if it is determined that the person has an abundance of purity and wisdom; they may be invited to join the L.I.N.E. council of elders.

About the council of elders:
The L.I.N.E. council of elders is a select group of individuals who have mastered as much as in humanly possible the concept of being a counselor, a guide, a healer and a friend to all. They strive each minute of their lives to help others not as leaders, but as roots; so that the ones they help can grow and develop as individuals. A part of the philosophy behind the council of elders of may be summed up in this quote from Dale Carnegie: “Men must be taught as if you taught them not, and things unknown proposed as things forgot.” Or in Lao-tzu’s terms: “True leaders are hardly known to their followers, when the work’s done right, with no fuss or boasting, ordinary people say, ‘Oh, we did it.’”

If you would like to become a participant of L.I.N.E. or you have any skills that you would be willing to share, teach or mentor someone in, send me an e-mail to the address at the bottom of the page.
