| Personal sense of place refers to a location, whether tangible or not, where a person feels comfortable and at home. Defining this sense of place is very much a part of a larger mission to help awaken and develop balance within each person and their community. Without knowing who you are as a person, you are unable to use your full potential. Along with our personal self, we will seek to understand our public persona, or what the world sees of us. Our past, our surrounding landscape and the persons who we come in contact with affect our public persona. In this class series we will go seek to answer many questions that will help you find who you really are. We will cover commonly accepted learning styles to find how each of us learns best. Along with our personal learning styles, we will seek to discover what our best teaching styles are. We will explore personality traits to see where our strengths and weaknesses lie. Not only will we work on exploring ourselves from physical and mental perspectives, we will also assess our spiritual and emotional selves. In this way we will seek to find a point of balance in our lives so that we may begin to develop that balance.
